Statue of Nolsoyar Pall (Poul Poulsen Nolsoe, 1766-1809), Faroese national hero, seaman, trader, poet, farmer, and boat builder, who in the early 19th century ran the first Faroese trading ship since viking times, by Hans Pauli Olsen. Birds (oystercatcher and raven) refer to a poem written by him where an oystercatcher chase birds of prey, representing the danish authorities and officials. - Statue de Nolsoyar Pall (Poul Poulsen Nolsoe, 1766-1809), heros national des Feroe, marin, commerçant, poete, fermier, et constructeur de bateau, qui au 19eme siecle a construit le premier bateau marchand feroien depuis les vikings, par Hans Pauli Olsen.
